You refine me

Verse 1
My hope is in you, I sit in silence
My face is covered in dust, I offer my cheek to be struck
I have seen the affliction of The Lord
And it is good to wait quietly for the reward

I learn from you, I learn from you

Chorus 1
Put into the fire, To become something higher
Than what I can be, In only prosperity
Your goodness means discipline for me
Every hardship a chance for victory
You refine me

Verse 2
As a community we’ve seen trouble and pain
But this is not because of your disdain
Other gospels say you’ve left us
But I know, because you’ve said so, You’re right here with us

We learn from you, We learn from you

Chorus 2
Put into the fire, To become something higher
Than what we can be, In only prosperity
Your discipleship means discipline for us
Every hardship a chance for something glorious
You refine us

Bridge1
Untethered to anything but you
We are stammering into someplace new
With your goodness and love in view
We cling to you, it’s all we have left to do

Chorus 2
Put into the fire, To become something higher
Than what we can be, In only prosperity
Your discipleship means discipline for us
Every hardship a chance for something glorious
You refine us

Bridge 2
I would rather be crushed than deny you
I would rather live as an outsider on Earth
Than be left out of relationship with you
I cling to you, it’s all I have left to do

Chorus 1
Put into the fire, To become something higher
Than what I can be, In only prosperity
Your goodness means discipline for me
Every hardship a chance for victory
You refine me

A.M. Radio (2)

Silence reaps it's harvest of anguish.

Don't ever love an immature Girl. She'll only hurt you more than you could ever hurt her.

Take chances, and give nothing less than your whole life away.

The only time fear is a good excuse is on matters of righteousness.

Ignorance is not the opposite of intelligence it is the opposite of wisdom.

Never give a fat guy "top bunk"

Disappointment is set up by dishonesty, both to oneself and to others.

Love can be like getting fat, everybody else notices it, but you have no clue, and then 340 pound Aunt Mildred tells you in an e-mail.

Give everything to God and you get. . .God.

AM Radio

Incessant fantasies of simplicity usually end in complication.

If something can happen, it already has and you can read about it on the internet.

Insecurities eat personality.

Understand and abhor sin, but never forget that it doesn't define you in God's eyes.

Date the girl who takes your breath away and stay away from the girl who squezzes the life out of you.

Pride is gangrene to the humble, and comfort for the insecure.

Endeavor

Everytime we learn something we turn onto a new path in our minds. The fresh thought becomes new territory to explore and roam around in. The beauty of living with the Holy Spirit is the unpredictability of daily life. It's like sauntering to the edge of a forest that stretches endlessly up and down rolling hills and each trail shows you a new nuance of beauty that that Forest has to offer. Trees look taller. The leaves crunch differenly under our feet. We find new animals to stop and look at curiously. May we always endeavor to find that what most call trivial is enthralling with the Holy Spirit. May scripture be our map on paper, but may the Holy Spirit show us reality.
